Between tall buildings of glass, director Malik Aghazy Rahaji’s experimental film reveals the Chinese metropolis of Chongqing. Façades decked out in neon and LED compete with smartphone screens for the favour of the passersby. Ships, cars and people push their way through the urban canyons. Within the global contest for attention, a panoramic portrait rich in detail emerges, full of melancholy. Accompanied by the tender poems of artist Juejun Chen, childhood feelings long forgotten suddenly draw close again from far off in the face of radical urbanisation.
